John Sloboda – Exploring the Musical Mind
John Sloboda has been an avid researcher of Music Psychology. Through out the semester I have read through book and given several power-point presentations on various chapters. This book is an extremely interesting book. Not only does Sloboda write about many different areas of interest to myself as a music teacher. In addition to writing about these different areas of interest at the conclusion of each chapter is a list of many primary source documents about the topics he addresses. The wealth of information that one can gain from using this book as a resource to learn more about music and how cognitive science impacts learning, performing, and enjoying music.
