Cognitive Musicology

This semester I have learned a lot of interesting information about music from a different perspective. Having been a professional musician and an instrumental music teacher I have been exposed to many different musical experiences and situations. Cognitive science is an interdisciplinary field of study, which links together many different researchers. I believe this provides an educator, such as myself an indispensable resource to expand not only my own knowledge about music, but my students and peers. I will attempt to provide information that can be used for students and those interested in learning about cognitive science and how it has and is impacting Music.
